GDS Summit on Sexual Assault and Consent
The Traveling Heart Project
The Traveling Heart Project is a program that was created by students participating in the GDS Policy Institute Sexual Assault and Consent track.
This project was created as a way to show our support for survivors of sexual assault. By using art to stand with survivors in solidarity, we aim to dedicate ourselves to combating the issue of sexual assault with humanity and dignity, while leading others and continuing this work with our hearts.
The Traveling Heart Project will be led by The Art Initiative, a student-created organization dedicated to empowering and educating people all over the globe on the world's current issues through art. GDS students Mila Noshirvani '23 and Malvika Reddy '23 started this initiative after seeing an immense amount of social injustice. They decided to bring together the two things they love most - art and activism - to bring about change. Click here to read more about them, their journey, and their current work!
